Billy Crallan played and owned many guitars, including Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, but we all know what they look like..so no pictures!!

Known at the time as the ‘English Fender’, Alan and Mike bought these Burns guitars around 1963. A few years later The Shadows also chose Burns guitars, although different versions.

Billy also played a Sano mandolin, which was Japanese   made, based on the Gibson F5 pictured here.

he still owns and plays a Gibson J-45, similar to the one pictured right.

Michael Gallagher’s Custom built guitar made by Clayton Moore, West Hartlepool.

 

Clayton played rhythm guitar with the Hawaiian Serenaders, resident group in The Woodcutter, West Hartlepool, along with Joe Grieves, guitar and Freddie Roe on laptop steel guitar.
